Our most-loved tour. Late-afternoon pickup, adrenaline dune bashing across the Lahbab red dunes, golden-hour photography, then a traditional Bedouin camp with unlimited BBQ buffet, live tanoura, belly dance and fire shows under the stars.
The Evening Desert Safari is the classic Dubai desert experience and the reason most visitors book a safari in the first place. You will be collected from your hotel in a private 4x4 Land Cruiser, driven into the protected Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, and given a full programme that blends adventure, culture and a generous Arabic dinner. Tours run year-round and are suitable for first-time visitors, couples, families and groups.

Pickup
Door-to-door pickup from any Dubai hotel, holiday home or residential address between 14:30 and 15:30.
Drop-off
Drop-off at the same address, typically between 22:00 and 22:45 depending on traffic and location.
Safety
Every Land Cruiser is fitted with a 4-point safety harness for the driver and standard 3-point belts for passengers. Our guides hold a UAE Desert Driving Permit and complete annual safety training. The vehicle fleet is fully insured and serviced every 5,000 km.
Child policy
Children aged 3 and above are welcome. Under 3 join free of charge. Dune bashing is not recommended for pregnant guests, infants under 3 or guests with serious back, neck or heart conditions — a gentler arrival route is available on request.
Cancellation
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup. Cancellations inside 24 hours are charged at 50%; no-shows are charged in full. Reschedules are free of charge subject to availability.
Dress code
Comfortable, loose clothing in light fabrics. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for sandboarding. In winter months (November to February) bring a light jacket as desert evenings can drop below 15°C.

Location
All our desert tours operate in the Lahbab desert (also known as the "red dunes") approximately 60 km south-east of Dubai. The drive from central Dubai takes 45–60 minutes depending on traffic.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Evening Desert Safari suitable for children?
Yes. Families make up a large share of our daily bookings. Children aged 3 and above can join dune bashing in a child-friendly vehicle on request, and there is a dedicated kids' play area at the camp.
How intense is the dune bashing?
Our drivers can adjust the intensity to your preference. Tell your guide before departure if you prefer a smoother ride — they will route around the steepest dunes while still giving you the experience.
Is alcohol served at the desert camp?
A cash bar serving beer, wine and select spirits is available at most camps. Alcohol is not included in the standard package price.
What if my flight or hotel check-in conflicts with the pickup?
Let us know at booking — we can arrange a private vehicle to depart later, or pick you up directly from Dubai International Airport with luggage stored securely at the camp.
