Quad Bike Safari
Self-drive 400cc quads on the Lahbab red dunes
What's included
- 4x4 hotel transfers
- Quad bike rental, helmet and goggles
- Safety briefing and instructor supervision
- Full evening camp programme with BBQ buffet
A 1000cc off-road buggy, a private dune track and an instructor riding shotgun. The most hands-on way to experience the Dubai desert — no licence, no experience needed.
You'll be picked up from your hotel in a 4x4 Land Cruiser and driven roughly 45 minutes south-east to our private base camp in the Lahbab desert — the same red-dune belt used for the classic desert safari.
After a 10-minute safety briefing, kit-up (helmet, goggles, gloves) and a short slow-speed familiarisation loop, you're free to open the throttle on a fenced 3-km dune track. Instructors ride in lead and sweep buggies so no one gets left behind, and every buggy has a roll cage, four-point harness and radio.
We run polaris and CanAm-style 1000cc buggies in single-seat and side-by-side (two-seat) configurations. Self-drive sessions are 30 or 60 minutes; passengers can join in the two-seater from age 8. Photos and short GoPro clips are included on the 60-minute package.
The best-value option is a buggy + evening safari combo: 30 minutes on the dunes in the buggy, then dune bashing in the 4x4, a camel ride, sunset photos and unlimited BBQ dinner at the Bedouin camp with live entertainment. You're back at your hotel by 21:30.
